lash lift faq
What is a Lash Lift?
The lash lift procedure HELPS TO CREATE A MORE SUBTLE, NATURAL LOOK INCREASING THE LENGTH OF THE LASHES SUBSTANTIALLY, GIVING A FULLER + MORE NATURAL DRAMATIC LOOK TO THE EYES. THIS PROCESS GIVES FANTASTIC RESULTS WITH VERY LOW MAINTENANCE + COST INVOLVED. SOME OF THE KEY BENEFITS OF AN EYELASH LIFT ARE MORE PROMINENT, LONG, CURLED, + DEFINED LASHES TO ENHANCE THE BEAUTY OF THE EYES WITHOUT ANY SORT OF DAMAGE OR NEED FOR REMOVAL. RESULTS LAST 4-6 WEEKS.
Do I need to prep for the treatment?
Please come in make up free. If you wear contacts, they must be removed. You must stop usage of waterproof mascara at least 2 days prior to your Lift. Do not consume any caffeinated beverages before your appointment. Caffeine can cause your eyes to flutter during an appointment.
Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?
The procedure is painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.
Is the procedure safe?
Absolutely, Safety is always our FIRST priority.
Will the Lash Lift damage my natural lashes?
Absolutely not, The product never touches the skin during the process. Redness around the eye may occur due to the product removal process (wiping the eyes with cotton rounds) but should disappear within a few minutes after the procedure.
How long does a lash lift take?
It will take generally about an hour from start to finish. if adding on a tint, it may take an ADDITIONAL 15-30 minutes.
How long will a Lash Lift last?
A Lash Lift can last 4-6 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no maintenance in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 4-6 weeks to lift the new hair growth if you wish to keep your lashes lifted. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full time, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.
Will I have a reaction to the lotion?
Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand. Please note, A patch test is helpful for diagnosing reactions but does not always do so, please be aware that because a patch test is performed doesn't always mean a reaction will not occur.
I wear contact lenses, can I have this procedure?
Yes. however, They must be removed during the process.
Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?
Yes, however the lashes must remain untouched for at least 24 hours after the treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
Can I use an eyelash curler?
We do not recommend using one as it will weaken the lashes and lift, Plus you shouldn't need to curl them after the service.
