This means cleansers, makeup, etc. Oils will break down your lash extension adhesive which in turn will make you need fills faster. Natural oils from your skin/face can also create this issue so be sure to have a balanced daily routine, and do not touch your lashes throughout the day as the oils from our fingers can transfer to our eyes. 4. YOU MAY SHOWER OR BATHE NORMALLY, BUT AVOID USING ANY SOAPS OR CLEANSERS ON THE TREATED AREA FOR THE FIRST WEEK AS THEY CAN BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE BONDING PROCESS THAT MUST TAKE PLACE FOR THE PIGMENT TO STABILIZE IN THE DERMIS.
5. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH AT THE DRY SKIN/FLAKINESS; LET THE SKIN FALL OFF NATURALLY. PICKING CAN CAUSE SCARRING AND PREMATURE LOSS OF PIGMENT.
IMPORTANT: ONCE THE FLAKES HAVE FALLEN OFF, A SHINY LAYER OF HEALING SKIN WILL COMPLETELY COVER THE HAIR STROKES. IT WILL APPEAR AS THOUGH THE EYEBROWS ARE GONE. WITHIN 1-2 WEEKS, THE HAIR STROKES WILL SLOWLY REAPPEAR AT A LIGHTER SHADE AS YOUR SKIN REGENERATES.

8. DO NOT APPLY MAKE-UP TO THE TATTOOED AREA FOR THE FIRST 2 WEEKS. CHEMICALS OF ANY KIND MAY INTERFERE WITH THE HEALING AND COLOR OF YOUR TATTOO.

1. EXPOSURE TO THE SUN OVER TIME CAN CAUSE FADING & DISCOLORATION OF THE PIGMENT. ONCE COMPLETELY HEALED, YOU MAY APPLY SUNSCREEN ON THE TREATED AREA.
2. WEAR LARGE SUNGLASSES AND A HAT FOR FURTHER PROTECTION. RINSE AND DRY THE AREA THOROUGHLY WHEN IN CONTACT WITH CHLORINE.
3. GLYCOLIC ACID, RETIN-A, FACE PEELS AND EXFOLIATION MUST BE KEPT AWAY FROM THE TATTOOED AREA AS CONTINUED USE COULD LIGHTEN THE PIGMENT.
4. IF YOU ARE HAVING LASER RESURFACING OR LASER HAIR REMOVAL AFTER YOUR TATTOO HAS HEALED, PLEASE INFORM THE LASER TECHNICIAN. LASER PROCEDURES MAY DARKEN, LIGHTEN, OR DISCOLOR THE TATTOOED AREA.

other important information:
If you are on your menstrual cycle during your procedure you will be hyper-sensitive and may experience more pain/discomfort.
Aspirin/Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Niacin and vitamins (including shakes/smoothies) should be avoided up to 3 days prior to your procedure (unless medically necessary). These products are known to thin your blood, therefore you will have more bleeding than you should during your procedure.
Retin-A or Retinols, AHA's, Vitamin A or any similar lightening and peeling products (examples include Glycolic, Lactic Acids) should be avoided at least 1 week prior to your appointment and you should avoid using them near your procedure area for a minimum of 30 days (1 month) post-procedure. If you use these products prior to 30 days on or around your procedure area, it may cause the pigment color to fade more than it should.
Pigment can and will fade, touchups may be required. Some areas will retain more pigment than others, this is common. Everyone's healing results are individual.
Tenderness and itching is common after the procedure and during healing.
aftercare:
1. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before cleaning or touching your tattoo.
2. Keep your bandage on for at least 2 hours. If Saniderm has been used, keep this on for at least 24 hours & up to 3 days.
3. When removing your bandage, rinse tattoo with warm water and dab with a clean paper towel.
4. Wash twice a day with just warm (not hot) water and/or mild fragrance‑free liquid soap (antibacterial, baby soap or green soap), and apply a thin layer of healing balm from day 2-14. Avoid lotions with fragrances or aloe.
5. If possible, use freshly washed bed sheets, clothes, & towel during healing process. Disposable paper towels or unscented baby wipes are great for direct contact with the tattoo when washing or drying.
things not to do:
1. Do not scratch or pick. This removes ink and leads to infections.
2. Avoid direct sunlight. For the first two weeks try to limit sun exposure ‑ if you know you'll be out in the sun for prolongd periods, wear a thin layer of clothing over the tattoo. After the first two weeks, use a high SPF sunscreen on your tattoo when in the sun. Avoid tanning beds for at least a month.
3. Avoid soaking in any waters (lake, ocean, bathtub, pool) for the first month, especially critical during the first two weeks.
4. Avoid heavy sweating in the area of your tattoo for two weeks. Wash after sweating.
5. Do not let your tattoo stick to sheets or clothing. If stuck, soak the cloth to remove rather than ripping it off. This is usually only a concern for the first night when it will be a bit oozy.
What to Expect:
1. Color and plasma may seep to the surface, especially when first removing the bandage. This is normal. Wash gently with warm water and wipe with a clean paper towel and reapply ointment or lotion.
2. For the next week the tattoo and area around it may be slightly swollen, red, and sore.
3. Within a few days to a week, a thin scab should form evenly over the tattoo and peel like a sunburn. (Do not pick at it!)
4. The color may seem dull or uneven while the tattoo is healing.
5. A touch up may be needed, it may be scheduled 6 weeks after your original appointment and must be done by 12 weeks (3 months) after your initial appointment to still be considered a touch up appointment.
6. IT SHOULD BE COMPLETELY HEALED IN 4‑6 WEEKS. FOR BEST RESULTS, AVOID SUN EXPOSURE (WEAR SPF), AND KEEP MOISTURISED.
